Business Analyst, Competitive Intelligence 

  • Competitive Intelligence uses Big Data to create analytical products that compare Wayfair’s key performance levers against competitors in the market to help drive insight and strategy across the organization

  • Creator and Lead Analyst of a Big Data product that focuses on one of the key performance levers, merchandising. The product is used cross-departmentally to provide insights, drive analysis, and create more strategic decision making for executives

  • Drove a data analysis which allowed our Media Operations team to acquire 20,000 new images for existing products in Wayfair’s catalog

  • Contributed to a pilot with Wayfair Europe (Germany and UK) to improve and acquire merchandising content from suppliers using European competitor data to prioritize outreach

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders of our data products to provide the best possible solutions that will have valuable impact on the business

  • Use technologies such as SQL, Vertica, Alteryx, and Tableau to acquire, clean, normalize, and visualize data into dynamic dashboards that drive analysis, business strategy and decision making

Strategy Analyst Intern

  • Updated weekly and monthly reporting for a major client, using Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and visualizations to present to the client on a weekly/monthly basis. These reports provided insights into the data, and recommendations based on trends, and current marketing efforts.

  • CRM focused reporting for clients using tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics to create insights and strategy based off of website activity and customer data.

  • Revamped critical monthly CRM report, restructuring and automating back end data and visualizations, which reduced updating time from over 20 hours down to 1.5 hours total.

Business Analyst Intern, Merchandising and Ancillary Revenue

  • Presented and gained approval on a business case to senior leadership involving a project with an opportunity size of $5.3M to reverse IT logic of a fuel product upon rental car return.

  • Led an analysis to size the opportunity on simplifying, and minimizing revenue erosion, on the company’s coverage options by eliminating one of the products. The analysis led to a pilot program for the entire Southeast and Western Regions (~300 locations) and involved cross-departmental support between corporate and field leadership teams.

  • Revitalized a fuel product optimization dashboard that led to a centralized process on pricing enhancements at over 800 locations to drive incremental fuel revenue.

  • Championed a deep dive analysis on upgrades, a $200M revenue stream for the company, to help onboard a new director and identify opportunity based on utilization, fleet mix, and location behaviors.

  • Active participant in the company’s first Mentor/Mentee and “Lunch and Learn” programs at the new world headquarters.
